The Center for American Studies would like to invite you to participate in a weekend course with an American native speaker & scholar, Dr. John Patrick Higgins (an interdisciplinary scholar and a graduate of George Mason University) titled „Presenting at Conferences & Publishing Research Made Easy”.
The course takes place on October 23-24 (Friday-Saturday), 2026 on Zoom. Exact hours are provided below in Rome/Berlin/Prague/Paris/Warsaw time (CET).
Because the course is led by an open-minded interdisciplinary American scholar – Dr. John Patrick Higgins – which is a guarantee of the course being ideal to all academics, regardless of discipline.
Moreover, the course is synchronous. The instructor will make every effort to make the course intuitive and understandable to non-native English speakers. Any doubts and complicated terms will be clarified in real time during the course.
Dr. John Patrick Higgins (USA) is an interdisciplinary scholar whose work addresses issues at the intersection of law, economics, sociology, and political science.
Dr. Higgins is a graduate of George Mason University and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He earned his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Łódź. His dissertation was published as a monograph titled “The Hermeneutics of Polish-Lithuanian Constitutionalism (1374–1792)” by UEHS Press in Warsaw.
He is currently a lecturer at VIZJA University in Warsaw and a member of the Center for Anglo-American Legal Tradition and the Alexis de Tocqueville Center for Political and Legal Thought at the University of Łódź.
Dr. Higgins authored numerous articles on legal, economic, political science, and social topics. He also owes his many years of experience to his work editing English-language books, reports, and articles. He has years of experience teaching how to conduct research, write convincingly as a scholar, and develop a unique academic style.
Every participant of the course will receive a package of free materials for self-study of Academic English.
The course is officially certified.
You will be awarded an official digital certificate signed by the Center for American Studies' President and Director of Academic Affairs. You may then print the certificate at home, use it to apply for various academic positions, or simply post it to your LinkedIn or other professional channels.
The certificate contains the number of training hours and may be used to fulfill your duty of professional development mandated by your bar association, trade chamber, or employer.
