The Center for American Studies would like to invite you to participate in a certified weekend course with U.S. attorney & law professor with decades of knowledge and practical experience from the real business world: “Negotiation Strategies & Techniques”.
Why? Because negotiation skills are life skills.
We all negotiate daily in both our personal and professional lives.
We negotiate to make ourselves or our clients better off.
Achieving this result can depend on your negotiation strategies and techniques.
The “Negotiation Strategies & Techniques” course is designed to advance such skills in you.
You will develop a practical framework for understanding negotiation fundamentals and applying it in difficult and fast-paced business negotiations (negotiating contracts and settlements in conflicts).
The course takes place on February 1 and February 8, 2025 on Zoom.
Professor Kelley will be connecting with us in real-time from the United States.

Prof. Christopher R. Kelley, LL.M. (USA) is an attorney and professor of law at the University of Arkansas School of Law and a professor at the best law faculty in Ukraine (at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv). He earned his Ph.D. in Law from Howard University School of Law and his LL.M. from the Arkansas School of Law.
Prof. Christopher R. Kelley, LL.M. (USA) is an attorney and professor of law at the University of Arkansas School of Law and a professor at the best law faculty in Ukraine (at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv). He earned his Ph.D. in Law from Howard University School of Law and his LL.M. from the Arkansas School of Law.
Prof. Kelley has extensive practical experience from the office of the Minnesota Attorney General and leading American law firms, including Arent Fox and Lindquist & Vennum (for decades appearing in the rankings of the best law firms in the USA).
In addition to lecturing in the United States, Prof. Kelley has frequently lectured in Europe and Asia.
Professor Kelley is a graduate of the Fulbright Program and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Fulbright Association. He also sat on the Board of Directors of the Fulbright Academy of Science and Technology.
His international teaching focuses on negotiation, arbitration, and Legal Writing in English.
Participants will receive a set of useful materials that can be used as a resource following the course to further learn negotiation skills.
All of our courses are certified.
Upon the completion of the course, you will be awarded an official digital certificate signed by the CFAS President. You may then print the certificate at home, use it to apply for various academic positions, or simply post it to your LinkedIn or other professional channels.
The certificate shows the number of hours so you may use it to satisfy your Continuing Legal Education requirement set by your Bar Association.
