5th International Conference
"Contemporary Problems & Challenges of Europe"
The main goal of the conference is to discuss Europe's contemporary and historical challenges and problems – including those of a legal, social, political, and economic nature.
Both history and the 21st century are a period for Europe marked by many multifaceted (local, regional and global) challenges, obstacles and conflicts.
The organizers would like to discuss, for example, the crisis of the rule of law in Europe, the legal and political systems of selected European countries, the consequences of Brexit, as well as the social and economic situation. And much more!
Proposed (sample) thematic areas:
- The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on European relations.
- Consequences of Brexit for Poles.
- Values of the European Union – do they still have a reason to exist?
- Combating terrorism.
- Europe and climate policy.
- Relations between European countries.
- Human rights in selected European countries.
- New "enlargements" of the European Union.
- Relations between the European Union and major superpowers.
- Political tendencies within the European Union.
The above indicated thematic areas are only exemplary – we strongly encourage you to go beyond them. The speeches can also be interdisciplinary, combining various fields of science.
We believe in freedom of academic discussion and do not censor speeches for worldview or political reasons. Original and unconventional speeches will always find recognition from the Conference Committee.
We accept presentations in the following languages:
- Polish
- English
Panels (sessions) of the conference will be arranged accordingly.
- Students, Ph.D. students, experienced researchers, professionals from the field, and all others interested in the above-indicated fields of research can actively participate in the conference as speakers.
- Passive participants (audience) do not need to possess any prior academic knowledge or background.

- Dr. Iryna Sitak (National Technical University in Kharkiv) – Member of the Conference Committee.
- Dr. Valery Loumber (Gavrilov & Brooks, Sacramento/Los Angeles, USA) – Member of the Conference Committee.
- Łukasz Darby Bartosik, LL.M. (President of the Center for American Studies) – Member of the Conference Committee.
➤ ACTIVE PARTICIPATION (INFORMATION FOR CONFERENCE SPEAKERS)
Steps necessary to register for the conference as an active participant (conference speaker):
1️⃣ Submit an abstract (200-300 words) and register via the Speaker Application Form at: https://forms.gle/vKofGst6ZKP9gB5v5
2️⃣ Register via the Speaker Application Form by 23.59 on April 9, 2025 (we will not extend this deadline).
🔒We reserve the right to select abstracts.
📣The results of the abstract selection process will be announced by April 10, 2025.
3️⃣Pay the conference fee to the bank account number that will be provided to the qualified speakers via email. The fee must be paid by April 12, 2025 at the latest.
➤ PASSIVE PARTICIPATION (CONFERENCE AUDIENCE)
Steps necessary to register for the conference by a passive participant (audience):
1️⃣ Register via the Audience Registration Form at: https://forms.gle/zXtbfUexVmLt7sU39
2️⃣ Register using the Audience Registration Form by midnight on April 12, 2025 (we will not extend this deadline). Failure to register using the form will result in the inability to passively participate in the conference (and thus the inability to receive a conference audience certificate).
3️⃣Pay the fee to the bank account number that will be provided to the audience via email. The fee must be paid by April 14, 2025, at the latest. (Audience will have a chance to see the conference schedule with a full list of speakers and their presentation titles before paying the fee).
➤ Speakers – 2 options:
- 209 PLN / 55 EUR – digital certificate (PDF with signatures of Members of the Academic Committee for self-printing) sent via email (widely-accepted equivalent of the traditional certificate).
– OR –
- 239 PLN / 65 EUR – digital certificate + traditional certificate sent via post.
➤ Audience – 2 options:
- 119 PLN / 35 EUR – digital certificate (PDF with signatures of Members of the Academic Committe for self-printing) sent via email (widely-accepted equivalent of the traditional certificate)
– OR –
- 149 PLN / 40 EUR – digital certificate + traditional certificate sent via post.
Important! Please use the following pattern when filling in the transfer title field when making the payment of your conference fee*: "
* Failure to do so may result in delays in posting the fee on the appropriate account and, consequently, even exclude your participation in the conference.
In the case of a co-authorship of a presentation by two or more speakers, please pay the fee for each of the speakers separately.
